1906 Howard Memorial Library, New Orleans, Louisiana

[LIB11013] The Howard-Tilton name comes from a merging in 1938 of the Howard Memorial Library, a private collection that in the 19th century was open to public users and located on Camp Street in downtown New Orleans, and Tulane's former Tilton Library (built in 1902), which was the first free standing library building on the university's uptown campus.
