[LIB3663]Like many libraries in the area, the St. Clair Library, founded in 1869, began through the members of the Ladies Library Association. Initially the members met in their homes until 1874 when the library acquired space in some of the rooms at City Hall. The library moved again around 1944 to the Schwab Building on Riverside.
The Library is the building on the left.
