Gunn Memorial Library, designed by Ehrick Rossiter, was opened and dedicated in 1908. This to me looks like such a charming library. By the way, The Library was awarded the Excellence in Public Library Service Award by the Connecticut Library Association and the Connecticut State Library in 2001 for the category of public libraries serving towns with a population of less than 25,000.

Carnegie Library, Armada, Michigan

Public library service began in Armada, Michigan, in 1901, when voters approved a ¼ mill tax levy. Elizabeth Pomeroy, Armada’s first librarian, was in charge of a modest opening-day collection of 87 volumes. As the library grew, the board of commissioners sought Carnegie funding to build a permanent, dedicated library building. In 1913, a grant of $8000 was awarded. The red brick and limestone library was built on church Street and opened 03 April 1915. [http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM7VXM_Armada_Free_Public_Library_Armada_Michigan]
